One-State Palestine

The only
just solution.

A new vision for the future of historic Palestine.

The campaign formally proposes the establishment of a single, unitary state encompassing all of historic Palestine - from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea - as what it describes as the only just and sustainable resolution to the conflict.

Organisers argue that decades of pursuit of a two-state solution have proved unworkable and have been undermined by settlement expansion and the denial of Palestinian rights. Their call is for one sovereign state where all citizens, regardless of ethnicity or religion, enjoy equal rights and citizenship.

The demand

Land, rights
and self-determination.

The campaign calls for the return of all Palestinian land to Palestinians and for their right to determine the future of Palestine according to their own collective vision.

Who are we?

A coalition
in motion.

International activists, ex-diplomats and civil society leaders.

The launch brings together people working across human rights, diplomacy, law, journalism, poetry, community organising and peaceful activism.

Core principles

Four pillars.
One direction.

The campaign sets out four foundational commitments for a democratic, shared future.

01

A single state

A unitary state guaranteeing equal citizenship to all inhabitants and rejecting ethnic supremacy or apartheid.

02

The absolute right of return

Implementation of the Palestinian right of return for refugees and their descendants expelled from their homes, dating back to the Nakba of 1948.

03

Dismantling the current system

An end to occupation and the dismantling of systems the campaign describes as apartheid, with a transition toward a multiracial democracy.

04

Land and sovereignty

Reunification of the land and an end to the fragmentation and confiscation of Palestinian territory.

A rejection of the status quo

Justice cannot be
postponed forever.

The campaign argues that the Oslo Accords and the two-state paradigm have failed to resolve the conflict, while allowing Israeli control to expand and Palestinians to remain stateless and dispossessed.

In the campaign's view, the expansion of settlements and denial of the right of return expose the limits of a two-state framework. It argues that real peace must be built through justice, full rights and the restoration of Palestinian self-determination.

A vision of coexistence

Many stories.
One civil home.

A shared future without hierarchy.

The campaign acknowledges the challenges of transition while envisioning a civil framework where Palestinians and Jews of every faith can live together with equal rights, safety and dignity, without ethnic supremacy or exclusion.

It calls on governments to move beyond support for a two-state solution and to pressure for an inclusive, democratic resolution that guarantees the freedom and dignity of everyone in the land.
